On/off Input: This refers to using a Smart Vision Lights’ continuous operation light in a setup where the light is being turned on and off by an appropriate signal. This is similar to turning a ceiling light in a house on/off using a light switch.
Strobing: This refers to a light being strobed (usually at a given frequency) in OverDrive™ strobe only mode. During this operation, the LEDs are running at a much higher wattage but only for a controlled time period or duty cycle. Most of SVL’s OverDrive™ (OD) lights are pulse following. This means the light will follow the pulse they are given, up to a set maximum time (see individual light data sheet for more information).
