Description of Application:
Goal was to come up with a solution that can read a large percentage of direct part marked 2D codes. Having a single solution allows our customers to have repeatable results and a common setup and components.
Inspection Setup:
Vision system: Cognex Dataman 300
Illumination: R130-470
Evaluation
The special light from Smart Vision has extra LEDs for more power yet is diffused enough to solve most applications. It is very balanced between diffusion and power. We estimate that it will solve 80% of direct part mark applications.
