Smart Vision Lights Unveils the New LZE300 Direct-Connect Linear LED Light for High-Speed Inspection and Other Demanding Machine Vision Applications

Muskegon, Mich., April 8, 2019 — Smart Vision Lights (SVL), a global leader in the design and manufacture of LED illumination solutions for machine vision and other applications, introduced its new LZE300 direct-connect linear LED light at the Automate 2019 conference and exhibition (Booth 8135). Delivering up to 100,000 lux, the LZE300 is among the brightest and most feature-packed LED light sources in SVL’s product portfolio.

NanoDrive™Users can direct-connect up to six LZE300 lights to create lighting arrays for a fraction of the cost of conventional solutions — and without any loss in uniformity. The standard LZE300 configuration offers 12 LEDs, while an enhanced option sports 24 LEDs.

SVL’s latest linear light is also compatible with the company’s new SmartVisionLink™ technology, which allows users with a tablet or smartphone to remotely adjust and electronically memorize key parameters for the individual zones of up to six LZE300 lights. Made possible by SVL’s new BTM-1000 Bluetooth® module and the company’s downloadable app, SmartVisionLink™ offers a simple, intuitive alternative to physically handling hard-to-reach lights or adding bulky network-enabled light controllers.

The LZE300 also leverages SVL’s Multi-Drive™ driver, allowing the light to operate either continuously or in OverDrive™ strobe mode. By regulating the current delivered to the LEDs and limiting their duty cycle, the Multi-Drive™ solution also protects LEDs from premature degradation and failure caused by excessive heat.

Additionally, the LZE300 light is one of the first SVL products to feature the company’s new award-winning NanoDrive™ technology. The NanoDrive™ driver enables the LZE300’s LEDs to switch fully on within 500 nanoseconds, deliver hundreds of amps, and — when using OverDrive™ mode — deliver 100,000 strobes per second. This makes SVL’s new light source an excellent solution for machine vision applications that require rapid image acquisition or short image exposure times. Area scan and line scan cameras will also benefit from lighting powered by the LZE300 light’s NanoDrive™ capability.

SVL experts will be on hand to discuss the new LZE300 Linear Light and its underlying technologies at Booth 8135 during Automate 2019, which runs from April 8 to 11 at Chicago’s McCormick Place.
