The “Internet of Things” was a topic of discussion at NIWeek, held recently in Austin, Texas. More than 3,000 attended, and SVL was there. We had a lot of interesting conversations about our industry and our products.

Using two Cognex In-Sight® 7020 Vision Systems with L300-625-W Linear Lights in their automotive inspection process, McNaughton-McKay evaluates parts to ensure that the black tabs are bent in place and the brass clips are present.

M.A.R.S. Robot (sponsored by Smart Vision Lights) finished the preliminary round at districts in Howell in 4th place out of a field of 40 robots. The team did a great job, but lost in the quarter finals when the robot failed with a communication problem.

Welcome Chelsey Riehl
Smart Vision Lights would like to welcome Chelsey Riehl to our team. Chelsey started as an intern at Smart Vision Lights in 2011 and spent time working in many of Smart Vision Lights’ departments. Upon finishing her business and accounting degree this spring at Aquinas College, Chelsey was hired full-time as a procurement specialist.
